Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI always begin with the fundamentals with both offense and defense. For example, a hitting lesson will begin with one hand work off of the tees.
Lesson 11+I will continue fundamentals and live pitching while adding in game situations to help the athlete read the defense or determine her next step defensively.
Lesson 4-10During this phase, I will begin building off of fundamentals and introducing some live pitching into the mix with both one foot + one hand drills. I will also include weight training specific to hitting.
Lesson 2-3My approach is individualized based on skill level, but I will likely continue to push fundamentals during the second & third lessons.
What you need to bringStudents need to bring personal equipment - bat, batting gloves, helmet, face mask, fielding glove & water bottle.
