Coach Goose helped me learn the basics so I could fill in for my middle school softball team. I had only pitched for fun when I was 10 but after our two pitchers got hurt we needed someone to fill the spot. Coach helped me get to the point of throwing strikes with my fastball and changeup!

I needed some help after my rotator cuff surgery and Coach was super knowledgeable about my journey and listened to me along the way. Together we made a plan and adjusted it as needed depending on how I felt emotionally and physically. I was able to get back to a promising baseline before I went to my junior college. The only thing that sucked was our short time together as my arm only allowed 30 minute sessions and I wish she could have continued with me but our schedules couldn’t align when I was able to throw for the whole hour.

Ahhh Coach Goose! She is super knowledgeable and loves to have fun while focusing on skills. Sadly I moved (military) shortly after starting lessons with her but I wish I could have brought her with me! She helped save my elbow when throwing movement pitches and focused on moving the ball and minimizing grip changes so all pitches looked the same coming out of my hand!

I loved coach’s attitude and big heart. She’s very knowledgeable but we decided to go with the pitching coach at our school as it was easier. Don’t let the stars fool you I just don’t have too much feedback due to our short time together. Give her a chance is all I have to say!!

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonThe first lesson is a baseline evaluation where I assess each player’s current skills, comfort level, and understanding of the game. We’ll start with a fun, active warm-up and light throwing before moving into basic drills for pitching, hitting, or fielding (depending on the player’s position). I observe mechanics, balance, and confidence, then we discuss goals for future lessons. The goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment and a personalized plan for growth.

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about evaluation and connection. I assess current mechanics, velocity, command, and game IQ to identify strengths and growth areas. We’ll go through a full dynamic warm-up, then position-specific drills — whether that’s pitching sequences, hitting timing, or defensive reads. I also like to discuss mindset, conditioning routines, and short- and long-term goals. This session sets the foundation for a personalized plan focused on refinement, endurance, and confidence.

Lesson 11+At this stage, lessons are customized for peak performance and maintenance. We fine-tune advanced mechanics, develop mental resilience, and focus on performance consistency. Players learn to self-correct, design their own pregame routines, and approach competition with confidence and strategy. This is where we combine everything — form, endurance, conditioning, and leadership — to help each athlete perform at their absolute best and prepare for the next level of play.

Lesson 4-10We transition to high-intensity performance work. Each session emphasizes repeatability, endurance, and efficiency under competition-level stress. Drills are tailored to the athlete’s goals — for example, long-inning endurance work for pitchers or situational hitting and base running for position players. We focus heavily on mental conditioning, advanced strategy, and leadership skills to prepare for college-level or showcase play. Players should expect detailed feedback and challenging reps designed to elevate every part of their game.

Lesson 2-3These lessons dive into detailed mechanical adjustments and building consistency under game-like pressure. Pitchers will work on command, spin control, and pitch sequencing. Hitters focus on timing, approach, and situational awareness. Fielders refine positioning and read speed. Conditioning and recovery work are incorporated to strengthen stamina and prevent fatigue. We’ll also begin classroom-style strategy talks — learning when to use specific pitches, how to read hitters, and anticipating game flow.

Youth players

Working with kidsWhen working with younger athletes, my main focus is building confidence, coordination, and a love for the game. Lessons are upbeat, supportive, and full of movement to keep things fun and engaging. I teach the basics of throwing, hitting, and fielding through simple, age-appropriate drills that encourage effort and teamwork. My goal is to help each player feel successful, learn proper form early, and develop the discipline and joy that make great athletes later on.

Working with teenagersWith teenage athletes, I focus on refining mechanics, improving consistency, and developing mental toughness. Lessons are structured around performance goals, conditioning, and understanding game strategy — knowing what to throw, when, and why. I encourage open communication, accountability, and leadership both on and off the field. Whether they’re aiming to make a school team, compete in travel ball, or prepare for recruiting, I help them push their limits while maintaining balance and confidence as student-athletes.

Former DII left-handed pitcher, outfielder, first basemen, slapper, and power hitter with experience coaching 16U–18U travel ball and providing private lessons. I focus on proper form, conditioning, and mental toughness to build strong, healthy, and confident players. With advanced knowledge of thoracic outlet syndrome, arm care, and recovery, I emphasize injury prevention and sustainable performance.
