Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Huffman, and I would love the opportunity to help your daughter grow her skills and expand her horizons in the sport of softball. I’ve been involved in softball for 18 years—as a player and as a coach. Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching, including three years as the head middle school softball coach at Hamilton Township Local Schools. While I primarily played catcher and third base, I was also considered a utility player and could fill in anywhere on the field as needed. Those two positions were just my main starting spots. For me, coach Taylor was the only reason I didn’t give up on myself while playing softball throughout my middle school career. When I was on the edge of hanging up my cleats early, she supported me through every high and low I had ever encountered my entire middle school career. She has taught me a million and one things that I still continue to work on. She had taught me the mental and physical aspect of softball, always pushing me to become better and to play at my full potential. After I had finished playing softball with her as my coach, she continued to check up on me to see how I was doing with both travel and school teams. She always encouraged me to play my best and to become better no matter what level of softball I was at. To me, that is a real coach. If I had to describe a perfect coach or role model in two words, it’d simply be Coach Taylor.

Coach taylor is one of the best coaches i’ve ever had. she’s always positive, supportive, and really knows the game. she explains things clearly and helps you improve without making you feel bad if you mess up. instead, she encourages you and helps you fix it. since i started working with her, i’ve become more confident at hitting, throwing, and understanding the game. her practices are fun but also focused, and you can tell she truly cares about helping each player improve. she really knows what she’s talking about just knowing from her own experience. to me she didn’t just treat me like a kid she coached, but a daughter and someone she truly cared about.

Hello, My name is Lita Andersen. I have been under Taylor’s coaching for 2 years now for both years of my middle school softball. Taylor has always been so great to me, my coaches, and teammates. She has helped so much by redefining our program. She has so much great energy and knowledge inside her. I personally, have learned a whole lot from Taylor. I have also seen first handily how much she has improved our team and individuals over the years. For instance, I was not half I am today before I was under her coaching. She made me become 10 times better than I was. Taylor truly turned me into a better athlete and person in whole. I can not explain in words how great she is.
