About your swimming instructor
Hi! I’m Bethania, a current medical student and lifelong competitive swimmer with international experience. I began as a lifeguard in high school and rediscovered my passion for teaching while instructing at Boston University. I’ve worked with all ages, from infants to older adults, and love helping swimmers build confidence and skills. Feel free to reach out if you’re in the DC/Maryland area! :)

What you need to bringPlease come prepared with a swimsuit, towel, goggles, and water-resistant shoes. For younger swimmers, feel free to bring any preferred flotation devices. A water bottle and a positive attitude are always encouraged!
What I can bringI provide a variety of swim equipment to support learning and skill development, including kickboards, pull buoys, and other training aids. These tools help reinforce technique, build strength, and keep lessons engaging. All equipment is clean, safe, and used thoughtfully to match each swimmer’s level and goals.
