Before our scheduled on-court lesson time, we will spend an additional 15 to 30 minutes talking through your goals, experience level, and any physical considerations. This does not take away from your lesson time and helps me tailor the session to you from the start.
Once on the court, the focus is getting comfortable and building confidence. We will start with a light warm-up, then work on basic grip, swing motion, and contact in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. The goal is to get you hitting and rallying as soon as possible.
Lessons two and three focus on building consistency. We will work on forehands, backhands, basic footwork, and continue rallying more. You will also be introduced to simple serve motion, positioning, and light point-style drills.
During lessons four through ten, we shift toward real playing skills. Technique, consistency, and shot control continue to improve while we introduce topspin, serving, returning, net play, and basic strategy. Sessions will include structured drills and beginner match play.
From lesson eleven onward, sessions become more personalized. We focus on strengthening your overall game based on your goals, whether that is recreational play, league tennis, or competition. Lessons include more strategy, match situations, and mental consistency to support long-term improvement.
