Billy is a terrific coach for both teens and adults. He has been instrumental in helping my team mate and I improve our skills and better our game strategy. He also does great with my teen daughter who has some coordination issues. He is patient and supportive and has helped her gain confidence and skills. I highly recommend.

Billy has been the most instrumental tennis teacher I’ve ever had. He really has such a wealth of knowledge about the game, strategy, form etc and I moved from a 3.0 to a 3.5 in large part because of him I’m certain. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Coach Billy is an incredible teacher, making tennis fun, dynamic and interactive across a variety of formats, ranging from private lessons, to small groups to larger drop-in classes. My kids and I all take lessons/classes with him and in my experience, he has a unique blend of working on strategic, physical and mental aspects of the game, which are all invaluable to improving.
During the course of a lesson, he will keep things moving very quickly, spending just enough time on a drill, before moving on to a new one. In a 1 hour class, we will typically do 4-5 drills, targeting different, frequently arising match scenarios or working on a specific set of skills. Throughout the lessons, Billy will point out when certain shot choices or the execution weren’t ideal and why, while also highlighting well played points.
I learn something new every time I play with Billy and can’t recommend him highly enough for both adults and kids. My daughter’s game has completely transformed since starting with Billy about a year ago. He has a way of helping everyone push themselves to reaching new heights and being their best tennis player, while keeping it fun along the way.

I’ve been taking private lessons and going to team drills with Coach Billy for a little over a year, and in that time he’s helped me improve both my technical and strategic skills very much. I even got bumped up a level from 3.0 to 3.5 to 4.0. His team drills are fast-paced and fun, he teaches with a positive attitude and encouragement, and he very obviously loves the sport. He also coached my nephew into the high school State Championships in just 2 seasons, and actively facilitates connection and growth within the local tennis community and as the coach at Monarch HS. I highly recommend him!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will get to know where you are as a player and your goals. First we'll learn the basics of tennis, including understanding the rules, scoring, and essential equipment.
We'll also cover fundamental skills such as grip, stance, and basic strokes to get you started with confidence.
Lesson 11+We will now implement what we learned and starting playing points and create situational scenarios to practice.
Lesson 4-10Based on your goals and tennis projections… we design a learning plan that will be fun and exciting, while learning new skills.
Lesson 2-3Next we'll build on your initial skills by refining your forehand and backhand strokes, and practicing consistent serves. We'll also introduce you to footwork and basic court positioning to enhance your learning experience.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe'll assess your current skill level, then revisit and perfect your foundational skills as needed. We will ensure your strokes, serves, and footwork are precise and consistent.
We'll conduct a thorough
assessment of your current play to tailor the lessons to your specific needs.
Lesson 11+We will stop situational drills to simulate live match play. Now that we are mastering our shots… we will discuss shot selections, percentages, angles, etc.
Lesson 4-10We will work on advanced shots. To include kick serves, serve volley, … just to mage a couple.
Lesson 2-3We will customize lesson plan to based evaluation and goals. To strength your current skills and enhance your weaknesses.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids we adjust our approach to emphasis fun and challenge games…while ensuring proper technique, agility and balance on the court.
Working with teenagersWriting with group…we need to keep them engaged and challenged. While still focusing on technique and achievable and rewarding goals. Plus, add the competitive aspects of the game live point drills and game/match play.
