Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLots of technical instruction the first day. They will get to hit a lot of balls while I get an understanding of what natural abilities each player has, and then building their technique from the ground up.
Lesson 11+Custom lesson plans for the needs of each player and what they need to work on to get to the next level. Usually entails strategy, moving to the net, and making sure the serve is consistent and getting points started.
Lesson 4-10We will begin to start playing some live ball and point scenarios. Start adding some strategy and placement ideas to get players ready to start playing league matches
Lesson 2-3Building on the basics we started on in the first lesson. Will hit a lot more balls as we try to get a good muscle memory established on the ground strokes and volleys.
Youth players
Working with kidsEvery kid wants something different. Some want to get better and become tournament players, others just want to have fun. Getting to know each kid and what they want from tennis is crucial to making sure they enjoy taking lessons and playing the game.
Working with teenagersTeenagers that take lessons more often than not either play tournaments or for their respective high school teams. It is important that when working with teenagers you also know what they want, but also making things more about match preparation and point play, with less focus on technique.
