Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will have simple exercises and drills to see what level of tennis you are. I would love to know what are your goals in the next lessons and what you seek to improve. Then I can thoroughly examine what your current form, play style, level is to plan future lessons for you.
Lesson 2-3Based on the first lessons' discussion about your goals, I will have formatted custom lesson plans for you. For example, if you want to be able to have a better forehand, I will focus your lessons on form consistency, practicing, and doing drills that will require you to repeat actions to reinforce body memory. After each lesson, we will have a discussion on how you felt about the lesson to help me get an idea of how you feel with the lesson plan. The idea is to improve as you enjoy playing tennis.
Lesson 4-10Depending on your progress, I will slowly implement more challenging drills and games. Using the same example of having a better forehand, I will be challenging you to hit your forehand under different circumstances as opposed to doing repeated shots in the same location.
Lesson 11+After 11+ lessons, I am confident that you would have improved your play and achieved your goals. Further lessons will be more flexible and more dependent on whether your goals have changed or any additional goals you'd want to achieve. Tennis is a sport where you can always improve, no matter what level you are at.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWith more advanced players, the first lesson is to specifically identify the weakest part of their game. I will go through all parts of the player’s game, forehand, backhand, volley, overhead, serves, stamina, etc. It's just as important to also talk to the player and see what their goals are, what are the areas they want to improve, so that on top of their weakness, we can improve the aspects of their game they want work on.
Lesson 2-3These lessons will be tailored training sessions with targeted drills and games to work on the weakness and targets the player wants to work on. These few lessons is to find out what kind of drills, games, exercises serves the player the best to improve.
Lesson 4-10With more time working on their game, I will make sure that the player is still working on the remainder of their game. Players of higher level learn more when they are competing. I will encourage the players to compete outside of training, so that they can put what they've been working on in practice.
Lesson 11+On top of working on form, footwork, strokes, it's also important to work on mental resilience in the game of tennis. Sometimes it's easy to let some bad points get to our heads, so it's crucial to for us to have that mental resilience to bounce back and play the next point.

As a coach, Dan has a good eye for catching technical flaws and bad habits during our sessions. As someone who had low amounts of fundamentals when I began my lessons, he assisted in strengthening tennis foundation to help drive and increase my personal growth in my own game. I initially started with a one hand backhand. However, due to my lack of strength, I was advised to shift to a two hand backhand to have a stronger backhand. He did a good job teaching me how to hit a two hand backhand, and it was effective. I eventually shifted back to a one hand backhand. I spoke with Dan about that decision and he supported my goal. He helped me develop strength and form for my one hand back hand. Overall learning experience, I enjoyed receiving coaching from Dan. He helped grow my tennis foundation, fundamentally allowing my game to grow. I am able to enjoy tennis a lot now in the present.

I've been working with Coach D for a while now, and throughout those years, I've come a long way with my game. My current rating is a 3.5 self rated now, but I am gradually working with coach D to feel confident as a 4.0. Coach Dan has a great understanding of the basics and is great at analyzing the faults in my game whether we're teaming up or playing against each other. I definitely recommend taking up his lessons if you want to take on the next step of your game.
