Daniel has been a mentor for me since I was in middle school. I definitely was not the easiest to work with but Daniel always encouraged me and held me accountable. I now have high standards and confidence in myself and playing college tennis at my dream school.

Daniel has helped my son develop a real passion for the sport of tennis. He goes out and plays on his own, does things Daniel recommends, and Daniel has really taught him not only tennis but life lessons that he will be able to use forever.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWill learn what side the forehand and backhand are on, how many hands are used for those shots, getting sideways, how to hold the racket (grips), the ready position, the setup, and the follow through.
Lesson 11+Will increase shot tolerance, refine technique, and continue to learn footwork patterns. Should have the ability to now rally so will now start adding in tacts and strategies.
Lesson 4-10Will continue developing the fundamentals on ground strokes and serve. Will start incorporating movement drills and tracking exercises to position yourself for the ball and learn how to place the ball to certain areas of the court. Will incorporate volleys, overheads, and point play.
Lesson 2-3Will review from first lesson. Learn how to keep the ball at the right height, how to make topspin, and learn the setup for the serve and check points to go along with it. Will introduce rallies.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWill do an assessment of all shots to get an overview of strengths, weaknesses, shot selections, areas that breakdown, areas that could be more efficient, how they react, and how hard they work. Will start out with their feet in regard to how they move to the ball, how they recover, and make sure they hit the ball to the right location and recover to the right location.
Lesson 11+Will have practice sets with the focus on certain styles of play that complement your game well. Will put the student in pressure situations where they play from behind, play with the score tight, with them in the lead, and when they are tired to see how the respond.
Lesson 4-10Will continue with footwork patterns and making sure the student is cutting angels, getting into position faster, taking time away, and is balanced before and after hitting the ball. Will work on how to use the body to absorb pace, create pace, and redirect pace. Will focus on serve and return plus one. Building mental routines, learning how to deal with pressure, and competing.
Lesson 2-3Will continue on footwork patterns and refining technique. Will work on having better shot tolerance, getting consistent depth, creating a heavier ball, and placement of serves.

Youth players
Working with kidsI take a holistic/person first approach, where I focus on developing character traits, values, setting goals, and establishing a standard for yourself. While I will guide athletes to achieving their set out goals and instilling these traits and values, I most want them to grow a passion for the sport, have a high standard for themselves, and more importantly be a good person.
