Richard has taken me from beginner to I would say, a solid 3.0 in only a few lessons. His way of teaching is different than what you usually get from coaches and hitting partners.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI get to know you, your tennis hitting level, your on-court strengths and weaknesses.
Lesson 11+We're in full flow and you are clearly past your older beginner skill level of all on-court aspects; groundstokes, serving, drop shots overheads etc. This is where I hit at you with more power to see how you handle it. This is also based on how consistent your tennis is throughout these sessions, among other factors.
Lesson 4-10At this point, we should have developed an on-court warm-up flow of some kind that allows us to move into playing tiebreaks and/or sets. This is where I can start to get a feel for the difference between your warm-up mindset and competitive mindset.
Lesson 2-3We will build an on-court warm-up system tailored specifically for you that eventually moves us back to baseline and into basic hitting to see how you handle it.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonPlayers 3.0 to 4.0. We will adapt you to warm-up drills similar to what you would see in all colleges. This will allow us to see how comfortable you are on court. And based on what I see in your on-court abilities will determine how fast we move you into tiebreaks and/or sets. We'll discuss what things you would like to improve on and work those into what I call micro drills.
Lesson 11+You should see dramatic improvement in your level an abilities across both hitting and competitive play. This is where I'm adding a lot more on-court pressure and hitting with you at a higher level. Here is when we would potentially tweak things in your training plan because of your improvements. All of this is of course, based on your dedication and consistency with lessons, among other factors.
Lesson 4-10We'll incorporate cross court groundstokes into our warmups and continue pushing you in tiebreaks and/or sets.
Lesson 2-3Because you're a more advanced player, we would at this point stay focused with on-court tiebreaks and/or sets. Throughout this competitive play we're looking for weaknesses that we can move into micro drills. It could be your serve, a premature drop shot, underdeveloped overheads or maybe a down the line backhand.

Working with teenagersContact me if your teenager has a passion for improving their tennis. I have a system that would definitely improve their game. Please see my beginner and/or advanced level training plan descriptions. Thank you!
