In our first lesson, I’ll get to know what your goals are—whether you’re here to play for fun, get a good workout, or eventually compete. Once I understand what you’re looking for, I’ll shape the session around that. We’ll go over the basics like grip, stance, and swing technique, but I’ll make sure it’s fun and relaxed so you leave feeling confident and excited to keep learning.
At this point, we’ll start getting into more advanced stuff—point play, match scenarios, and shot variety like topspin, slice, or even drop shots. Whether you want to compete or just keep it casual, I’ll tailor things to your goals. I’ll help you understand court positioning, when to attack or defend, and how to build points with purpose. The focus is on taking everything we’ve built and turning it into real, confident gameplay.
During this stage, we’ll start rallying more and really focus on improving your consistency, accuracy, and control. We’ll keep building your groundstrokes, but I’ll also introduce volleys and net play depending on how comfortable you feel. My goal is to help you start feeling more confident during live rallies and begin working on simple strategies so you can actually play points and understand what’s happening during a match.
In these lessons, we’ll start building on the basics. I like to focus a lot on footwork because it’s one of the most important parts of tennis. That said, it always depends on your current skill level and what your personal goals are. I’m flexible and will adapt the lessons to match where you’re at—whether that means working on your forehand and backhand form, starting to serve, or focusing more on movement and positioning.
In the first lesson, I’ll assess your current level through live hitting and movement drills. I want to see how you handle pace, your timing, consistency, and footwork under pressure. From there, we’ll talk about your goals—whether it’s playing tournaments, improving for school tennis, or just leveling up. The session will be a mix of rallying, point play, and quick feedback so we can build a clear game plan going forward.
These sessions are about applying everything under match pressure. We’ll do high-level drilling, point play, and match simulation with constant feedback. We’ll also focus on the mental side—handling nerves, staying focused, and adapting mid-match. If you’re competing, I’ll help you prepare for specific match styles or tournament formats. If you’re not competing, we’ll keep pushing your game toward the highest level you want to reach.
Now we’ll get deeper into strategy, point construction, and pressure drills. We’ll focus on how to build points with purpose, control your tempo, and recognize shot selection opportunities. This is also where we’ll sharpen your serve, return, and transition game. I’ll keep challenging you with live ball, patterns, and match play situations that prepare you for real competition.
These sessions are all about tightening up your foundation. We’ll work on improving shot quality, footwork efficiency, and setting up patterns that fit your game style. I’ll give you specific drills to target your weaknesses and make sure your technique holds up in live rallies. Expect intensity, feedback, and a focus on building match-ready habits.
