Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEstablish a rapport by finding out client’s athletic background and goals for tennis. Introduce the 4 main shots (Forehand, Backhand, volley, serve). covering how to hold the racquet properly and swing technique.
Lesson 11+Increasing workouts out of ball feeding to doing hitting drills live ball hits. Singles and doubles strategies introduced. Building stroke production from technique, consistency, placement, depth, to working on power!
Lesson 4-10Introduce proper footwork to the ball and recovery. By now consistency of strokes should be improving with focus moving to ball placement and depth.
Lesson 2-3Review stroke technique with all strokes trying to build consistency.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonEstablish rapport and find out client’s Tennis goals. Take a look at form and technique with each stroke. Find strengths to build on and see areas of weakness.
Lesson 11+Focus on implementing and improving all strokes , strategies, and footwork. Special emphasis on serve plus 1 and return of serve plus 1. The reason being, the first 4 shots in a point represents the total number shots for 70% of all points played.
Lesson 4-10Focus on hitting drills while implementing different singles or doubles strategies. Making sure technique, consistency, ball placement, depth, and power are being closely monitored.
Lesson 2-3Clean up any technique issues within strokes. Focusing on being consistent with ball placement and depth. Mainly hitting drills with limited ball feeding.
