Your first lessonWe first learn the mechanics of the violin. How it's made, played and all essential matinence.
Lesson 11+Reading in Treble cleft. Note values. Play a popular song. Sight reading exercise.
Lesson 4-10Playing "Twinkle Twinkle" and other beginner songs. Study rhythm and bowing patterns. Moving to D string and learn D&E scale.
Lesson 2-3We learn notes on the A&E strings. Learn first major scale and finger exercises.

I met Allyssa during my summer break while visiting family in Cincinnati. So, my mom got me connected to her so she can help me audition for the Youth Orchestra in my city(Washington D.C). Allyssa really challenged me with stuff my teacher wouldn't normally teach like, how to give music life. I also appreciate her honesty!

Mrs.Allyssa is a good violin teacher. She gave me lessons in the summer of 2014. Other than her funny ways of learning music that makes me laugh, she makes sure I improve. When I feel like I want to stop playing we negotiate a way to get back on me feet.
