Hi! I'm Coach Genavi but I go by G. I'm definitely driven by the rhythm of the court, I teach volleyball with tactical insight, technical precision, and a warm, encouraging approach. I have been teaching volleyball for several years, specializing in skill development, game intelligence, and building confident, team-focused athletes. I've also played high level club & collegiate volleyball at A5 for 9 years, and I have D1/JUCO experience from UTEP (TX) and Hutchinson Community College in Kansas!

Beginner training plan
Your first trainingI’d start by making the player feel comfortable and excited to learn. I’d introduce the basics, explain proper ready position and movement, then work through simple passing and serving drills. I’d use lots of positive reinforcement, adjust the lesson to their skill level, and make sure they understand each skill before moving on. The goal is for them to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived!
Training 2-3For the 2nd lesson, I’d build on what we learned in the first lesson by reviewing the fundamentals, correcting small technique issues, and introducing more movement-based drills. I’d keep reinforcing proper form while gradually increasing difficulty.
For the 3rd lesson, I’d start connecting individual skills into more game-like situations. We’d work on consistency, movement, communication, and applying passing/serving skills under pressure, while continuing to reinforce anything they’re still struggling with.
