Beginner training plan
Your first trainingGauge their natural ability and determine initial areas of focus. If absolute beginner they can choose whatever they would like to learn and I’ll see if it can happen in one day.
Training 2-3Learn to pass, set, or swing modestly within the third lesson.
Training 4-10At this point I’ll assign homework and specific tasks for player to learn in their own time. If not previously comfortable we will begin playing with the net, attempting to serve over, swing over, and set near the net depending on the goals of the player.
Training 11+If high commitment and energy is brought forth and they practice their homework diligently I can guarantee they will be beyond a beginner within 3 months. My goal is for my players to surpass their own expectations for themselves and continue to play volleyball healthily for as long as they want at the level they want.

Youth players
Working with teenagersI started when I was 14 so I remember being young and interested in volleyball vividly. When beginning a new skill we often forget how important it is to explain the WHY behind the action. I grew up hating coaches that just told us what we needed to do and put us through tiring drills. I adapt for teenagers by being patient, visibly excited, kind, and verbally supportive.

About your volleyball coach

I specialize in mechanical coaching, focusing on athletes from middle school through college-age. My approach uses deep-dive technical explanations to help players understand the why behind their movement and simple analogies people can translate to volleyball. I focus on rapid improvement through custom drills and visual demonstration. Played college club volleyball, attended 25’ Nationals, and started the volleyball club team when I was in high school.

Helped me be prepared to try out for my highschool volleyball team. As an incoming freshman I was very nervous but Pablo made sure I had the skills necessary to be confident during tryouts and I ended up making the team!

Helped develop receiving form consistency for SR. Out of system setting as a lib. And general game IQ

I know Pablo personally and his explanations were exactly what I needed when it came to my understanding of the exercises and translations to the game. I started playing volleyball really late but Pablo jump started my talent!
