Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe “bump” in wrestling is how to fall. You’ll learn the 3 essential bumps in wrestling and how the similar process is used to navigate the ropes.
Lesson 11+As you continue the “what” and “how” of wrestling, you will discover the “why.” Along with moves and spots, you’ll learn how moves fit together into full match flow. As lessons continue, you’ll work with coaches to develop your own persona as you build towards joining the Ascend Pro Wrestling roster.
Lesson 4-10Here, you will develop more of the moves in wrestling, giving and taking slams, as you string moves together into spots.
Lesson 2-3As you continue develop your bumps, you will learn basic chain wrestling, introductory moves, and beginning selling.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThink you’re advanced in the wrestling world? Show me! For the first lesson, you’ll call the match with a veteran wrestler, showing your technical prowess, psychology, character, selling, and general knowledge of wrestling. This gives a baseline of where you are and where to go!
Lesson 11+With matches under your belt, the work is just beginning. It’s time to build and refine to make you an asset anywhere you go, across the state, the region, the country, or beyond!
Lesson 4-10As you improve, we’ll test your improvement through a series of training matches. As these get better and better, it could be time to try these in front of a live crowd! This differs for each person, but we have become very perceptive of when a student is ready to begin matches on events.
Lesson 2-3We see your strengths and where you can improve. Cardio? Move flow? Selling? Character? Calling in the ring? It’s time to build.

Youth players
Working with kidsOur kids camps invoke the WOW factor of wrestling, without the toll on the body. Kids will get the thrill of getting in the ring, giving moves, talking on the microphone, and making their grand entrance, without taking the hits and falls. It’s all about creating moments that they will remember!

Working with teenagersBeginning at age 15, we can begin to teach the basics of wrestling to get teens ready for the ring. In Ohio, wrestlers can not be on events until 18. We can get you ready to go, gaining experience as a referee, and we do occasional events in Indiana should teens be ready for live matches.

What you need to bringWorkout clothes required, water bottle recommended. Tennis shoes or wrestling shoes are fine until you are ready to purchase professional boots.

What I can bringTwo 16 foot professional wrestling rings, crash pad, full line of hex dumbbells.

I have a son ,that it was his dream to be a professional wrestler . Apw has been great for him !! They take the time and teach each other how to move ,to be done safely . My son has learned so much there and not just about wrestling .he has learned what team work is .he has learned that if some people don’t show up it makes it harder on the ones that do . He also learned and earned respect from the other wrestlers and trainees . Apw is a great experience rather your in the ring or out in the seats !!!
Ted
I have been going to APW’s training school for a few months now and I can honestly say they are very welcoming to a total noob like myself! The trainers and other trainee’s are all always there for advice and are very open and honest with you. I definitely recommend APW’s training school. Also safety is the biggest thing they drill in your head so come on down and give it a try!!!
