Hello, welcome to Next Step Training! My name is Coach Jay founder and trainer and I thank you for choosing me to help continue your basketball journey. I have played basketball for over a decade, coached boys and girls ages 8-16 for 7+ years now and have been awarded MVPs on championship teams numerous times. My focus as your coach is to foster an appreciation and love for the sport of basketball that will transform you into an exceptional player by implementing & growing skills and giving foundation & fundamental knowledge that will excel your skills tremendously. I am a former Division III basketball player and all-conference player who helped lead Grinnell College to the conference tournament 2 different seasons in my tenure. I have various connections at the D3 level and some at the D1 level. Played with and against D1 and NBA level talent. I want to help players reach their full potential both on and off the court. My passion for basketball is contagious and drives me to cultivate a supportive, fun, and challenging learning environment.
