Formerly serving as Head Coach of the Austin Wranglers in the National Gridiron League, Coach Garcia brings over 20 years of football experience spanning coaching, military leadership, and professional play into every practice, game plan, and player interaction. He continues to coach with travel 7on7 and NFL flag, as well at Hyde Park Baptist School. A proven winner at every level, Coach Garcia has captured four youth football championships across three different age groups over the past five years. His legacy of success began in the U.S. Army, where he led his unit to back-to-back Northwest League Championships at Fort Lewis, Washington (2010 & 2011). His coaching journey includes developing talent in central Texas Youth Football League, National Football League Flag, and grassroots programs, all the way to commanding a professional football roster. Beyond coaching, Coach Garcia brings over 15 years of playing experience from arena football, semi-pro leagues, and the Canadian Football League. This rare blend of on field understanding, and sideline leadership makes him a respected mentor to players at every stage of development. Coach Garcia's leadership style is shaped by his military background and personal values. A decorated U.S. Army veteran, he blends discipline, preparation, and passion into every facet of his coaching. He believes in cultivating an environment where athletes play fast, play physical, and have fun, emphasizing commitment to team, personal growth, and competitive excellence. His favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” serves as a guiding light in his personal and professional life. Coach Garcia draws his inspiration from his mother, whose unwavering faith and dedication instilled in him the belief that no peak is too high when you’re pursuing what God has called you to do.
