Dennis Turcotte profile
About Dennis

I’m a 3.8 DUPR player, and what makes me a great coach is that I keep it fun 🤩! If you’re not having fun, you won’t want to play. With me, lessons are fun, safe, and focused on helping you grow—both on and maybe even off the court. I enjoy working with players of all ages and skill levels, but I specialize in helping new and entry-level players (2.5–3.0) build confidence and fall in love with the game.

What students say...

"As a beginner/intermediate player with a lot of self-taught bad habits, I needed help . Coach Dennis was great at identifying my weaknesses and offering constructive pointers.

My first lesson with Dennis turned out pretty good. He’s friendly, really patient, and clearly knows what he's doing, focused on serving and playing, which I appreciated. I still have work to do on foot and arm positions and holding the racket, but I’m optimistic about building on that. Dennis and I also hit it off talking about the Acura Integra, which was a fun bonus. If you're aiming to sharpen specific skills, I’d say definitely give Dennis a try.

Wow, Dennis really helped me tap into my best playing ability again, and his teaching style is something I think more people should experience. Though I still have areas to develop, I feel confident about where I’m headed. Still, I’m hoping to keep building on what we’ve covered so far. His approach seems to set a solid foundation. If you're looking for a focused pickleball lesson that’s both practical and encouraging, I’d say give Dennis a try.

Honestly, Dennis's lesson was quite helpful, especially in refining my backhand return on serve, which was a real boost. Still, I think I could improve my line versus cross court shots and hope to build on that next time. Though I do appreciate the balanced feedback, I’m looking forward to continuing my growth toward that 4.0+ level. If you're serious about improving your pickleball skills, trying a lesson with Dennis might be worth considering.

I found Dennis's lesson to have lots of great instructions, which I appreciated quite a bit. Though I still have some work to do on my consistency, I think the detailed guidance really helps me focus on specific skills. It's still pretty helpful to see a clear path forward, and I’ll definitely keep practicing what I learned. If you're looking to refine particular aspects of your pickleball game, you might want to give him a try.

The lesson with Dennis was quite good, especially in making the use of time efficient. He managed to cover quite a bit without rushing, which I appreciated. Though I’d like to see a bit more consistency in the focus areas, I still felt the overall experience was quite positive. If you’re looking to fine-tune your pickleball skills with someone who stays attentive to your progress, Dennis might be worth trying out.

Dennis really helped my return on serve, turning it from shaky to quite solid, and I saw improvement in both my front and back hands. Still, I’d like to keep fine tuning my fundamentals and grow more confident in myself and the game. If you're looking for a lesson that actually moves your game forward, Dennis is worth trying.

Dennis took my serve from hitting out pretty consistently to deep and quite proficient, which was a real plus. Though I still have some steps to take towards hitting that 4.0 mark, I’m optimistic about the progress. Still, I look forward to working further with him to push my game even higher.

Honestly, I was pretty impressed with Dennis. He made the lesson enjoyable and I feel like I really made progress, especially in how I serve. Still, I hope to 'forget' some bad habits and improve even more in the next lesson. If you're looking to elevate your game, Dennis is the man.

Very nice introductory lesson with Dennis. We worked on serves as well as forehand and by hand at the kitchen. Great discussion around paddle grip, both positioning and strength of grip. Dennis was very good to work with and very informative.

Dennis's consistency makes each lesson pretty enjoyable and straightforward, though I hope he continues to help me build toward a 4.0+ level, especially since I feel like there's still room to sharpen my game a bit more.
