About Carlos

Carlos Gomez Director of Racquet and Athletic Sports With over 25 years of tennis experience, Carlos Gomez—originally from Colombia—has cultivated a lifelong passion for racquet sports. As a junior, he competed in high-level tournaments and achieved a top-8 amateur ranking in his state. While pursuing a degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communications, Carlos played collegiate tennis for the University of Medellín. Since relocating to Vancouver, Carlos has continued to excel athletically. He won the USTA NTRP 4.5 Sectionals in both 2020 and 2022, earning gold tickets to the prestigious USTA Nationals. His commitment to the sport led him to become a certified USPTA and PTR Tennis and Pickleball Professional. He is currently working toward his Elite Professional certification. Carlos proudly serves as the Director of Racquet Sports at Club Green Meadows and represents the USPTA-RSPA/PNW Northern Oregon Board. He is also an official Ambassador for Wilson Sporting Goods Co. and was honored as the USPTA Facility Manager of the Year in 2024. Now rejoining the Green Meadows team, Carlos is excited to share his love for tennis with the Pacific Northwest community. He offers personalized instruction for players of all levels, helping them unlock their full potential and elevate their game. With four years of pickleball coaching experience, Carlos combines strategic insight from his professional athletic background with a fun, approachable teaching style. He is passionate about helping players grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game.
