About Timothy

From an experienced school teacher to a 4.5 rated Pickleball instructor, I've transitioned my dedication for teaching into a new athletic arena. With over 3 decades of tennis playing and coaching under my belt, including a two-year stint at Mesa College, I bring a rich and diverse experience to my coaching. My journey into the dynamic world of Pickleball started a short 2 years ago, and in that short span, I've achieved a player rating of 4.0 to 4.5. Currently, I am currently a Pro-Certified instructor with the PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) to further strengthen my Pickleball coaching credentials. Despite my newfound passion for Pickleball, I still teach tennis, integrating the best of both sports into my training approach. Together, let's work on boosting your skills and raising your game!

I've had the pleasure of taking tennis lessons under the guidance of Tim, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. His encouraging attitude and clear, easy-to-understand demonstrations have significantly contributed to my progress and enjoyment of the sport. What stands out the most is his patience and his tailored approach to teaching. He designs each class based on our progress, making sure that we are always moving forward at a pace that feels comfortable and yet challenging. This approach has been incredibly beneficial for me as a beginner, allowing me to build confidence and improve my skills in a supportive environment.

The lesson with Timothy was quite helpful, especially since we focused on full court returns and third shot drops, which really helped me develop feel and touch. Although I still have some work to do on contact consistency and reducing misfits, I appreciate the steady progress. I def found the repetitive drills beneficial for honing my touch and I plan to keep working on those areas.

One of the best parts of the lesson with Timothy was how the movement drills helped improve my game. It really made a difference in understanding how to stay active on the court. If you’re interested in picking up some great fundamentals while having fun, I’d definitely recommend giving his lessons a try. You won’t be disappointed! 😊

Just finished my 5th lesson. The best part of the lesson with Timothy was getting to play at the end, but the focus on form and contact work in the middle really made a difference. It feels like a solid foundation is being built!

That DDD dink drop drill really sharpened my touch, and I’m excited to keep building on it in the next lesson. More consistency with center contact and power balance should click next time.

Timothy helped me lock in that smooth “brush” feel we chased- I’m noticing WAY better contact, with room to refine consistency. Can’t wait for the next one!
