I began playing baseball when I was eight years old. I played both high school and college. During my collegiate years I also helped train an coach other pitchers. I assisted a Junior College head coach with coaching his pitchers until they found a new pitching coach. I coached all fall and into the winter. I have a very hands on approach, and believe its really important to get player feed back. It's how you know if what I'm doing is working, or if I need to find another way to help a player develop, improve, and succeed.

As a former college athlete, I bring a competitive edge and strategic insight to my pickleball coaching. With one year of teaching experience, I'm dedicated to helping players of all levels elevate their game and discover the joy of pickleball. My passion lies in fostering a supportive and fun learning environment on the court.

Monty Basnyat has been the Director of Tennis at Park Terrace Tennis and Swim Club for the past 15 years. He has been around tennis (competing, learning and coaching) for the past 43 years and loves every minute of it. Monty graduated from UC Riverside with a degree in business. In his spare times he loves to cook pizzas in his brick oven.

Jared Butts is a Golf Digest Best Young Teacher in America and Best Teacher in California (2026–27), known for his passion for developing players both on and off the course. David has been playing pickleball at a high level for over five years, building on a strong athletic foundation as a former collegiate football and track athlete. With experience coaching pickleball, track, and football, David brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching to every session. His dedication to helping players improve their skills and love for coaching makes him an excellent mentor for athletes at all levels.

Brian discovered his passion for golf at age 4, inspired by his father’s career in the sport. Growing up at Rancho Murieta Country Club, Brian excelled in junior tournaments, earning a golf scholarship to Sacramento State University, where he became a standout player and team MVP. After graduating with a degree in Art Studio, Brian pursued a career in golf, eventually becoming a Head Coach for Will Robins Golf, sharing his expertise and love for the game with players of all levels.

Fueling dreams on the fairway is my passion. As an NCAA athlete with 15 years of golf experience, I tailor my coaching to help players of all levels refine their skills and deepen their love for the game. Let's elevate your game together!

I have been a PGA Professional since 1993 and have dedicated over 25 years to teaching in the Sacramento and Auburn areas. A proud graduate of San Jose State University, I bring a wealth of playing experience to my instruction, including being a 6-time NCPGA Player of the Year and competing in prestigious events such as the 1996 US Open, three PGA Championships, and the victorious 2000 PGA Cup Team in Wales, where I represented the United States. Throughout my career, I have shared my Basic and Balance approach to golf with thousands of students, including juniors who have gone on to earn college scholarships. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of playing the game and achieving consistency on the course. Students learn not only the fundamentals of the golf swing but also how to apply them effectively for lower scores. I tailor my instruction to each individual’s capabilities, helping them improve while gaining a deeper understanding of their unique swing.

Embracing the dynamism and fun of pickleball is what I love most about coaching this fantastic sport.
