"Evan gave good feedback on my weak spots, which I found quite helpful, and I’m feeling more motivated to start improving those areas. The lesson had some useful insights, and I appreciate the more thoughtful approach, though I still think some drills could help me build confidence. Still, I’d be open to trying another lesson with him to see how I progress.

I picked up pickleball during the pandemic and have since competed in about five tournaments, earning a bronze medal in singles and a Silver in doubles. I mostly focus on improving my game and sharing my passion for pickleball through coaching. As a certified PPR coach, I teach players of all ages, from kids as young as 5 to seniors in their seventies. I’m currently the personal pickleball trainer at the East Valley YMCA, where I love helping others discover and enjoy the sport.

"Oh, I’d say the lesson was quite helpful, really, we worked through when to use line or cross shots, plus some focus on my forehand and backhand ground strokes. Though I’d like to get more practice on my serve and volleys at the net, the work on adding power to my serve felt quite useful. Thanks to the clear guidance, I feel more confident about my ground game now. If you're thinking about giving Subrato a try, it’s probably worth a shot.

"Carey’s lesson was really positive. He’s a patient and kind instructor who made learning pickleball enjoyable, even for a beginner. Though I’m still improving, I appreciate his approach. We’re planning to continue with more lessons, so hopefully I’ll keep gaining confidence. I’d suggest trying Carey if you're interested in starting out or honing your skills.

"Good class

Save ~$10-15 per lesson with me by not having to purchase golf balls at the range! Hi there, I'm Blaise! A seasoned golfer carrying a scratch handicap, and a tech entrepreneur by profession. My lifelong affair with the game has not only allowed me to master the nuances of golf but also share my knowledge with budding golfers. Over the years, I've honed my teaching skills having given well over 5,000 detailed lessons. My approach to teaching golf revolves around nailing the basics first, and then progressively moving onto the more intricate details of the game that fit your natural swing. As a former multi-sport athlete, I like to find a students natural athleticism and teach a swing that revolves around what works best for the student. Golf is hard to learn on your own. Many aspects of the game are counterintuitive and often times up means down, right means left...etc. I'll help you skip years of frustration trying to learn these concepts, and get you hitting the ball better than you thought possible. So, let's get started on this exciting journey, gradually improving your game from the fundamentals to the finer strokes, while having a blast. I teach out of a private golf simulator in Redwood City. If you're not familiar with a simulator, it's high end technology that captures every metric of both the ball and club. In my opinion, the golf simulator is the best way to work on your golf swing because you get so much more data than just hitting balls at the range. The simulator also includes a high speed camera that shows the club hitting the ball frame by frame. But mostly, it's just really cool and a lot of fun!

"Excellent instruction for beginner and intermediate golfers. One hour lesson was very productive and helpful. Improved our swings immediately. Matt provided follow-up plans to work on before our next lessons.

My proudest golf achievement has been shooting a 71 at Poppy Hills. My favorite golf course is Torrey Pines.
