Justin has been immersed in golf since age 8, competing in junior and high school golf where he learned early on that skill, not just strength, can set a player apart. Focusing on a solid short game and mental resilience led him to pursue a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology, deepening his understanding of the mental side of golf. Justin firmly believes that mental skills training is the key to unlocking a player's true potential, enabling them to play with greater confidence, focus, and composure under pressure. His coaching style integrates both technical instruction and mental training, guiding students of all levels to improve both on and off the course. Based in Walnut Creek with his wife, Michelle, and daughter, Jaylen, this Castro Valley native is dedicated to helping golfers of all abilities elevate their game through a balanced approach to both skill and mindset.

I played competitively at Miramonte High School and have spent my life immersed in youth soccer—as both a player and a dedicated coach. I am a guitarist, performer, and composer who studied at the California Jazz Conservatory with over 18 years experience of playing and teaching. I have worked and studied with renowned musicians such as Jonathan Kreisberg, Liberty Ellman, Romain Pilon, and Mimi Fox. While now primarily a jazz musician, my playing is also influenced by rock legends like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai. I believe that every student learns and grows differently, with their own unique goals. My approach is all about cultivating a safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment where students can develop at their own pace. I've been strumming the guitar for over three decades, sharing my expertise as a teacher for seven years. My journey includes performing professionally at top Hawaiian hotels and being part of the Michael Herrera Classical Quartet. Diving into music theory at Laney College, Chabot College, and California State University, Hayward, I'm thrilled to guide you on your guitar adventure!

Since the age of 5, I have explored my fascination with music. Starting with Suzuki piano, I gave a recital in high school and went to Oberlin Conservatory. Continuing on to Peabody and Eastman, I completed my music education and moved on to IT while exploring additional passions in music on the side. I'm now back to music full time, with an emphasis on teaching conservatory-level classical piano and beginning/intermediate violin and latin percussion. I teach at your home or at mine in Danville.
