I have been playing basketball since the age of 10. My brother was on the high school team and I have trained with him growing up almost everyday. I played on my college intramural team and have taken lessons from professionals that played in college. I regularly play in basketball leagues that even have players over 6’8” tall. I am well versed in young children as I have taught young students English from three years up. (I have my own kids these ages) I am bilingual Mandarin and can explain concepts well in both languages. I am patient, kind, and enjoy seeing others achieve their goals. Golf doesn't have to be complicated to be effective—I aim to give students tools they can rely on, even when pressure builds. Ultimately, my goal is to help players build strong fundamentals, develop confidence, and enjoy the process of improvement. I work with students from beginners, intermediate or advanced. I also work with kids who want to give golf a try. Lesson Format: Each session is customized based on the student’s experience, goals, and learning style, with a consistent format that ensures structure and growth: 1. Initial Assessment & Goal Setting (First Lesson.) -Discuss student goals (e.g., break 100, improve short game, gain distance.) -Evaluate current swing, posture, grip, and stance. -Provide initial feedback and outline a personalized lesson plan 2. Warm-Up & Fundamentals Review (Each Lesson) -5–10 minutes of dynamic stretching and swing warm-up. -Brief review of previous lesson’s key takeaways 3. Drills & Skill Development -Use targeted drills to build consistency and technique (e.g., alignment sticks, impact bags, foot spray, and tees for feedback) -Focus on one major skill per session (e.g., ball striking, putting, bunker play). -Adjust drills in real-time based on performance and progress 4. Video Analysis (When Applicable) -Use mobile video tools for visual feedback. -Compare student’s swing to previous footage or pro examples 5. On-Course Situational Coaching (Available for Intermediate/Advanced) -Teach course management, club selection, and mental game strategies. -Practice real scenarios like uphill lies, tight fairways, or green reading 6. Recap & Homework -Recap top 2–3 focus points from the session -Provide practice drills or training plan to reinforce lessons between sessions -Offer encouragement and realistic next steps I also provide on-course lessons. . $75 for lessons + $50 for any additional hour, and I also kindly request to cover my green fees. For on course lessons, we will go over tee box strategy, pre shot routines, troubled lies, green reading and course management.

"Brian demonstrates a novel way of teaching by giving me the opportunity to identify my own mistakes based on the content that I learned from him on the spot. This exercise, along with the drills, helps me better understand the concepts that we learned today. If there is one improvement I have to state, it’s that the drop shot adjustments could be introduced better. Give them awareness that the balls can come at different height/different speeds first and then show them the techniques to handle such cases.
