Hunter Hughes, formerly a standout golfer at Swarthmore College, is now the Assistant Golf Professional at Del Rio Country Club. At Swarthmore, Hunter majored in Economics and Computer Science and was a consistent performer on the men’s golf team, known for his poised and focused play. He earned multiple Centennial Conference Honor Roll accolades throughout his collegiate career. Hunter brings his strong playing background and steady demeanor to his current role, helping people improve their game in a focused and personalized manner.

Some might believe a coach is just a coach for sports; however, a coach is more than a coach but also a mentor and a role model. Life and sports have a closer relationship than what we believe. For example, working hard creates the fundamental value that anything can be accomplish both in life and sports. When one plays a sport one needs to be responsible, self discipline, goal orientated, accepting mistakes, being proud of the hard working, and many more fundamentals that correlate with life. I was a walk on red shirt in 2010 at Consumes River college in Sacramento CA Paul Hansen the head soccer reach out in an email in 2011 to play for American River College after acknowledging my game in a spring recreational class. Played recreational to competitive soccer in Stockton Ca. I had the privilege to play in places; such as, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Reno, Oregon, and many more places. Was JV and varsity captain at Franklin high school in Stockton ca. We made to the semi final my senior. Was voted twice the most inspirational player for high school Fun fact- one can find pictures of me playing for Franklin high on max preps for the year of 2010 Alvaro Martin
