I coached a USGLL golf team to a second-place finish; I have volunteered for the First Tee program in Orange County; I was actively involved in the Los Alamitos High School Girls Golf Booster Club from 2012-2016; I managed several golf fundraisers for the Los Alamitos High School Girls Golf team and before being certified I taught several individuals, including my wife, to play this great game. From being mentored, playing, reading books, speaking with other instructors and watching some of the “Greats” play, I continue leaning and understanding more and more each day about this game. I teach at Whittier Narrows Golf Course in Rosemead, California, and I am currently the Head Golf Coach for the Valley Christian High School varsity girls golf team and the Assistant Coach for the boys junior varsity golf team located in Cerritos, California. His lessons are easy to understand, he'll get you into good practice habits fast, and he is also incredibly funny and a great story teller. I started learning the sport at the age of 40, and my athletic ability is quite average. While learning from different coaches, I noticed a problem: they are too professional and don't understand that our bodies, especially as we get older, simply can't turn as much as they require. Therefore, during my practice sessions, I rely on my own exploration to improve my performance. Many of the issues I encounter are common among amateur players, issues that professional coaches who have been playing since childhood have never faced. So, if you are a beginner, if you are someone who is getting on in years, or if you have average athletic ability, I might be able to teach you better than a professional coach could.
