Hi! My name is Christian Heisler-Cruz, or C for short. When I was about 4 years old, my dad put a club in my hand and took me to his favorite municipal course in my hometown of Topeka, Kansas to play a few holes. That day was the day I fell in love with this beautiful game. My dad was my first instructor and he always made sure I had fun more than anything else. That is an approach that I really appreciate and one I want to make sure I carry over with my role as an instructor. When we merge enjoyment and improvement, I believe that is when we can truly love it. Golf was and still is my favorite activity that I share with my dad, and I am hoping it is an activity I can enjoy with all my students as well! From an experienced school teacher to a 4.5 rated Pickleball instructor, I've transitioned my dedication for teaching into a new athletic arena. With over 3 decades of tennis playing and coaching under my belt, including a two-year stint at Mesa College, I bring a rich and diverse experience to my coaching. My journey into the dynamic world of Pickleball started a short 2 years ago, and in that short span, I've achieved a player rating of 4.0 to 4.5. Currently, I am currently a Pro-Certified instructor with the PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) to further strengthen my Pickleball coaching credentials. Despite my newfound passion for Pickleball, I still teach tennis, integrating the best of both sports into my training approach. Together, let's work on boosting your skills and raising your game!
