It was not only the immense satisfaction of making solid contact with the ball that brought me joy, it was the sound it made when contact occured. The rush of adrenaline that washed over me each time I hit the ball was exhilarating. That same evening, I went on Amazon and ordered not one, but four pickleball paddles. I was determined to play, and play I did! I convinced everyone in my orbit to try it and when they did, they, too, fell in love. Hi there! I’m a ISSA-certified personal trainer, kickboxing instructor, Marine veteran, and lifelong martial artist, who has competed in various styles, including boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. I have also fought in Thailand. My biggest accomplishment was winning my first MMA title in Thailand. Martial arts, including boxing, has changed my life immensely and made me the person I am today.
