I’ve been a member of the PGA since 2004. I was the head teaching pro at El Dorado Park in Long Beach for 13 years before moving over to Recreation Park 18. I created the first ever teaching & coaching completion within the PGA of America called America’s Golf Coach. I also created and run a non profit in Long Beach called Tee Off Together. "Rian was awesome!! I told him specifically what I wanted to work on and understand how to fix it while on the course. We got straight to it, within 5 minutes he was able to identify some of my gaps with my swing and pinpoint how to fix it. He was very straight forward with clear instructions, easy to understand. He recorded my swings and showed me the wrongs, rights and progression throughout my sessions. Hitting off grass was also a plus, great vibe, great conversations, he knows his stuff. Great instructions for an affordable price, I highly recommend him!!

I am a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in music and theatre and I have been teaching piano, voice, and acting students for over 8 years. With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist and three Division 1 championships, and reaching the Southern California Semi-finals of CIF in tennis. A teaching professional at Braemar Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy, a former Special Education instructor, registered behavior therapist, adaptive skills clinician, mobility trainer, and physical therapist aide, and I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and Biomechanics.
