Will began competing in state and regional tournaments at 14, earning MVP honors in high school and holding the #1 singles spot for three years. He went on to play both singles and doubles for Allegheny College, continuing to sharpen his competitive edge. Recently relocated from Seattle to San Diego, Will is excited to share his passion for tennis with players of all levels. Off the court, he works in marketing, professional photography, and music production as a DJ.

I'm deeply connected to the ocean, and surfing is my passion. With a background as a former ocean lifeguard and swim instructor, I've spent countless hours in the waves, learning their secrets. "That lesson with Kerry was quite good, honestly. The focus on improving my technique really hit the mark, and I felt more confident on the board afterward. Though I still need to work on timing, the relaxed attitude Kerry maintains made the lesson feel natural. I particularly appreciated the guidance on paddling and positioning, which really helped me to catch waves more consistently. Still, I’m hopeful that with a few more lessons, I’ll make even better progress. If you’re into steady, no-pressure learning, I’d suggest giving Kerry a try.

I started playing pickleball 3 years ago and I play several times a week in advanced level open play and ladder sessions. I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to go from not knowing how to play to being a solid pickup player who can play in intermediate and advanced games. I still know exactly what it’s like to be a brand new beginner and trying to figure out the game especially all the rules. My coaching style is easygoing and I try to keep the lessons light hearted so everyone feels welcome and comfortable. I like to use a mix of drills and gameplay with real time instruction and feedback during my lessons. A group of 3 or 4 students makes for a great class because I can play a doubles game with you while teaching you how the game works. I can also advise you on equipment, where to play, what apps to download to find games and leagues, etc. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
