I've also played at the highest level and am a Pan Pacific and Australian Masters champion in both singles and doubles and a recent winner of the Oregon senior games. Now residing in L.A. I bring a wealth of expertise tailored for everyone - from absolute beginners to seasoned pros. I'm a Certified PTR Professional Coach and very passionate about this amazing game. Mile Square Golf Club is my home course, where you’ll often find me working on my game. As a dedicated golf instructor, I specialize in offering a personalized coaching lesson in golf. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game or intermediate player aiming to refine your overall golfing ability, the lessons I implement are designed to enhance your overall golf game, while most importantly helping you to enjoy your time spent practicing. As a graduate of Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad, California (sadly no longer in business), I studied the psychology of golf, complex teaching and course management. I also learned how to build a set of golf clubs as well as mastering the complex rules of golf, and the overall fundamentals of how to coach and instruct students. During my 2 years at GAA, I quickly excelled, making the competitive Club Golf Team. I came to learn that there are no two identical golf swings. It is my job to assist you to find the mechanically correct way to improve your swing and develop your short game. Whenever you’re ready to lower that scorecard, I’m ready to coach you!

Briana Esparza was the head coach of the Girls Varsity Golf team at Providence High School in Burbank, California, having joined the athletics department in July 2024. With a strong background in education and mental health treatment, Briana combines her passion for teaching with her love of golf to inspire young athletes. She has a strong ability to get anyone started in their journey with golf.

When I can positively influence their skills, I feel fulfilled in my role as a coach. Additionally, I strive to foster a friendly and supportive relationship with my players, as I believe that being seen as a friend first, then a coach, is crucial for maximizing the learning potential and making lessons engaging and enjoyable for the students. In group lessons, I incorporate diverse group exercises to enhance the overall learning experience.
