Over the past 3 summers I have had the privilege of playing semiprofessional soccer for DC United u23, FC Carolina’s (USL2), and West Virginia United (USL 2). I have been private coaching for numerous years and was employed for a private training organization called HP Elite for the summer in 2022. With over eight years of experience as a swim instructor, Mercedez Shelton has been teaching swimming since she was 16. She has worked with students of all ages from infants in “Mommy and Me” classes to children, teens, adults and elderly, adapting her teaching style to meet each individual’s needs. Mercedez is passionate about helping swimmers build confidence, improve technique, and develop a lifelong love for the water. She is skilled in a variety of swim programs and teaching methods and brings a positive, encouraging approach to every lesson. Lucy is a PPR certified Pickleball pro who has been teaching Pickleball for the past 7 years. She had previously taught tennis for over 25 years. Outside of Pickleball, Lucy is a retired nurse practitioner and a well-known member of the Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota Pickleball community. She is also a sponsored athlete from Team Head Pickleball and the Regional Marketing Coordinator for the state of Florida and Georgia. Lucy is also bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish.
