Francisco Garay is an Austrian-born Venezuelan-American cellist and dedicated educator currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Cello Performance at DePaul University in Chicago. He has over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to adults. As a performer, Francisco has played in a wide range of settings—from orchestras and chamber ensembles to solo recitals—bringing the same passion for music-making into his teaching. He is the founder of several youth cello ensembles, served as a teaching artist with the Houston Youth Symphony’s Coda & Melody programs, and is an original member of the Latin Cello Choir. His students consistently earn recognition at UIL state competitions.
