My journey with the guitar is a tale of passion, self-discipline, and an ever-growing quest for musical mastery. As a self-taught guitarist, I've poured countless hours into refining my craft, fueled by a deep love for music and an unyielding desire to express myself through its strings. My path has been uniquely enriched by attending selective courses with experienced musicians, including renowned teachers from Guitar Center. These opportunities haven't just expanded my technical skills and deepened my understanding of music's vast landscape. A DC area native, I was initially introduced to music, though somewhat reluctantly, through enrollment in the church choir at the age of four; however, I quickly grew to love it. I first experienced the guitar while living in Hong Kong when my third-grade teacher would play for them everyday at the end of school. I began taking lessons while living in Hong Kong and continued when I moved back to Washington DC. I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years and teaching for over 15. While my foundation is deeply rooted in the classical tradition, I enjoy teaching a variety of styles. My passion is to empower others to find their voice through the guitar, no matter their level of experience.

Transitioning from the baseball diamond to the lush greens of the golf course, I've found a new passion in golf over the past five years. With dedication unmatched, I commit to practicing at least twice a week and playing a round every week, honing my skills and deepening my love for the game. Drawing from my background as a former baseball player, I bring a unique perspective to golf, understanding the nuances between the two swings. Through my journey, I've embraced the challenges and triumphs of golf, proving that with persistence and passion, anything is possible on the fairway.
