Hi! I'm Andrew, and I am a Berklee College of Music graduate with a dual degree in Film & Media Scoring and Voice performance. I've performed in different styles, many venues, and collaborated with many musicians over my two decades of experience. I take a careful and healthy approach to empower singers to achieve their artistic goals. As a seasoned performer, I offer tailored guidance to unlock your full potential. Some of my students have gone on to attend the Berklee College of Music and the New School. I am excited to work with you to open up your voice!
My teaching philosophy is rooted in making strategic, personalized adjustments that empower students to feel immediate progress. I love those moments in a lesson when a simple shift, whether it’s breath support, vowel shaping, or phrasing, can suddenly transform how a song feels and sounds. That tangible improvement not only strengthens their technique but also gives them a real confidence boost, both as singers and as people. My goal in every lesson is to create an encouraging environment where students leave feeling more capable, expressive, and excited to keep growing. As a performer and bandleader, I understand the discipline, vulnerability, and joy that come with vocal performance. I strive to pass this experience on to my students, modeling professionalism and creative curiosity in every lesson. In my four years of vocal instruction, I’ve developed a rhythm for lessons and learned how to adapt to each student's needs and voices.

With seven years devoted to vocal instruction, I work with singers from all backgrounds and skill levels. I believe singing should feel natural, enjoyable, and sustainable. I provide a supportive environment where students discover their unique voices and grow with confidence. My teaching blends solid vocal technique with musical artistry without pressure or intimidation. Whether you’re brand new to singing or looking to improve your sound for performances, auditions, or personal enjoyment, I tailor each lesson to your voice and learning style. Lessons are available in English and Mandarin.
My vocal coaching blends technical precision with artistic expression, honed from years as a concert performer. For over seven years, I've guided students to unlock their vocal potential and discover the joy of singing. I'm dedicated to fostering confidence and skill in every aspiring vocalist.

"My kids Nyla and Ben work with Coach Matt on a weekly basis every Sunday during the season. When we drive into the club we are always excited to see what he has set up for the kids. Whether it’s a customs putt putt course, a long drive competition with markers and top tracer, or “break stuff day” where he sets up fun breakable or knockdown-able targets the kids can hit at. He will even take things a bit further and go out there in himself and challenge the kids to try and hit him! We truly enjoy Coach Matt and his teaching technique, the kids can’t get enough of him!
