I've since shared my expertise nationwide, working in studios, gyms, and private homes. Rooted in the Iyengar method, I'm committed to supporting students at every stage of their yoga journey, fostering well-being in both body and mind. I'm a lifelong musician and music lover who started playing cello in 1977. My background includes classical training and performances, as well as rock bands, arranging popular songs for solo and band shows, and writing my own parts for original music. I also write and produce music in Reaper, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools. I enjoy helping students learn to arrange and play music that inspires them, and I include appropriate music theory, ear training, and analysis in the lessons.

Hi It's Mike Michel! I'm a Minnesota Music Academy award winning songwriter, modern guitarist, and modern music educator, who was raised in Cincinnati,OH, developed my craft in Los Angeles, CA and now create out of Minneapolis, MN. I currently record and tour with my groove-infused indie/alt rock group,THE ORANGE GOODNESS and continues to be an active session guitarist and published songwriter. I'm an avid digital creator and post a weekly music video series called Music Wisdom For Music Fans, which is dedicated to educating passionate music fans about the ins and outs of music creation, philosophy and business. My goal as a guitar coach and songwriting coach is demystify all of the elements of music for you in a more rock and roll language. I fell in love with the guitar when I was 10, and have stayed in love ever since. I'm a self-taught musician who grew up playing blues music and teaching myself rock songs. I've since played with punk bands, post-rock bands, cover groups, and accompanied vocalists. I've written songs for and been featured on a number of releases, and played in all sorts of venues, from dance halls to basement punk shows. I started teaching students in 2017, and I love introducing people to this wonderful instrument and helping them reach their goals, whether that's learning to play their favorite songs, or helping them break through to the next level as an intermediate player. I tailor my lessons to my students according to their experience, goals, and musical interests.
