I'm James Hernandez, an Athletic Consultant and passionate baseball coach. My journey began on the dirt fields of the Dominican Republic, where I learned that baseball is more than a game—it's a way of life. I bring a unique blend of on-field experience as a utility player and catcher, coupled with a transformational coaching philosophy. My approach goes beyond the physical. I coach with empathy, accountability, and emotional intelligence, helping athletes build a winning mindset. I specialize in high-impact drills for catchers and hitters and provide cultural insight to support athletes from diverse backgrounds. I'm dedicated to instilling discipline and a sense of purpose that will serve you both in the game and in life.

I have been a high-level competitive tennis player for many years, progressing through USTA tournaments on into the Division I collegiate level at Sacred Heart University. Before Sacred Heart, I played a couple of years at Division III Allegheny College where I was a two-time all-conference singles selection, became captain as a junior and was a representative of the team on the student athletic advisory committee. At Sacred Heart, I was named captain my senior season and received the student-athlete award for the highest GPA on the team after my first semester. In addition to my playing experience, I have many years of coaching experience. I am a current RSPA Elite Professional, and have organized and run my own private lessons and programs. I have also coached at various country and athletic clubs in Northern NJ and New York, along with having been an assistant men’s coach at Army West Point. I am sometimes available at the Jersey Shore in the summer as well.

As a young dancer, into a competitive teen dancer and later a professional dancer of stage, film and tv, I always was told that my body type would never find a place in this industry of performing arts. This would crush me every time, so I decided to redirect my love for dance arts and created my own academy. Performing gave me a freedom unlike any other art form I have ever experienced and I wanted to pass that love on. Here is when you get to be part of my dream, teaching dance and opening my own academy creating ADA 6 years ago was not only a goal, but a mission. My goal is to guide dance enthusiasts with respect , proper training, positive reinforcement and passion. It would be fantastic to talk about awards and accolades, which I can, I will, but I believe it’s more important to talk about HOW you feel while dancing and letting go of fears and shyness. Be You!

I am dedicated to ensuring every young athlete learns the love of the game and also grows technically. My approach blends proven methods with personalized coaching for impactful results.

For over 10 years I’ve had the privilege of both playing and coaching. Specifically in the area of offensive and defensive line, with the past 4 years focused in coaching all areas of offensive play. I am dedicated to assisting players reach their full potential on the field, as well as bring to them the concept that what we learn through sports, can be translated to life outside of it. i.e. hard work and facing adversity.
