With 35 years on the court, I bring a wealth of experience to developing well-rounded basketball players. I'm dedicated to fostering skill, strategy, and a lifelong love for the game in each of my students.

With a lifelong love for sports and a deep passion for teaching and coaching basketball, I've been making a positive impact on the court. My coaching journey includes two seasons of coaching Varsity basketball, as well as CYO and AAU basketball. I also conduct youth sports training. I'm a dedicated Division 1 baseball player at Hofstra University, carrying on a family tradition of excellence in the sport. My father was also a Division 1 baseball player and even worked for the New York Mets, instilling in me a deep love for the game from a young age. I'm passionate about honing my skills on the field and contributing to my team's success.

Joe is a standout student-athlete at Adelphi University, where he was named the NE10 Southwest Division Player of the Year in 2024—only the second in program history to achieve this honor. He also became just the second Panther in 15 years to hit double-digit home runs. In 2024, Joe set career-highs in nearly every offensive category, batting .370 with 10 homers and 50 RBIs, and led the league with a .702 slugging percentage, thanks to 15 extra-base hits in NE10 play.

Michael is a Division 1 Wrestler at Hofstra University, competing at 149 pounds, and was the National Collegiate Open runner-up. He holds a Masters in Sports Science and brings a deep understanding of athletic performance to his training.

Coach John Pettaway – Basketball Coach | Culture Builder | Player Developer With over two decades of coaching and leadership experience, John Pettaway is a passionate and proven basketball coach committed to developing players on and off the court. Known for his no-nonsense yet nurturing approach, Coach Pettaway combines deep basketball IQ with a strong focus on character, discipline, and culture. Currently serving as Head Coach of the Lawrence Woodmere Academy Post-Grad Program and Associate Head Coach for the PSA Cardinals 8th and 9th Grade Teams, Coach Pettaway has mentored and trained athletes who’ve gone on to succeed at the Division I, Division II, and JUCO levels. His coaching philosophy centers around hard work, accountability, and team alignment—values that translate beyond basketball into life success. Coach Pettaway is also the founder of Beyond the Bench & Board, a school culture consulting company that partners with schools to support deans, teachers, and school leaders in building systems that promote high expectations and strong relationships. From the Nike EYBL circuit to the classroom, Coach Pettaway brings a rare blend of strategic insight, cultural leadership, and a relentless drive to see young people win.
