My coaching focuses on strong fundamentals, tactical awareness, and building from the ground up—starting with footwork and attention to detail. I also emphasize “small victories” and SMART goals to create clear progress while keeping training fun, engaging, and motivating.

I'm a passionate tennis player who began my journey in 2014. Throughout the years, I played for my Division 3 college team and gained valuable coaching experience at a country club. Hello everyone, I am Sebastião Vilas, your tennis coach and a professional tennis player. I bring years of experience, having started coaching at the age of 17. Having coached my own sons to success in varsity singles, I currently instruct 30 kids aged 5 to 12, emphasizing patience and fun in every lesson. Justin, originally from Commack, NY, earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in psychology from Hofstra University. He has 22 years of experience playing and coaching tennis and, in 2024, was named the USTA Eastern Tennis Professional of the Year. He joined the SPORTIME team in 2020, as a tennis coach, and was promoted to Director of Tennis in 2023.
