As a player, I was ranked number 1 for most of my junior career in my home country. I defeated the world-ranked number six in the 35 age group and reached number 125. Recently, I had the opportunity to practice with Daria Kasatkina, world number 14, as a hitter at the US Open. With over 20 years of coaching experience, I am one of the few USTA Coach Developers running the USTA Coaching Fundamentals Workshops for coaches. Fabiana Rezak has been involved in tennis for over 40 years as a tennis player, parent, and private certified instructor/coach. For thirty years she has helped many institutions and schools bring tennis to their students, members and constituents, ranging from young children to older adults. Fabiana understands how to make lessons fun and easy to follow, yet challenging for a continuous involvement in the sport. Fabiana started playing tennis at the age of six and competing in sanctioned tournaments since eight years old. Having grown up in Buenos Aires Argentina, home to world renowned players and coaches, she was lucky to have been exposed to great training during her formative years. She became a top 10 national junior through the different age groups and competed in international tournaments. At seventeen she was offered to play Division I tennis in the U.S.A. and was inducted in the University of Toledo Varsity Hall of Fame. She is certified by the PTR and USPTA, and volunteers with the USTA Long Island Tennis Board to help create programs throughout the region and make the game more accessible for all to play. Also, as a Clinician for the USTA she trains Physical Education teachers and community leaders how to teach and introduce tennis in schools or other settings. Furthermore, she is a Pilates, yoga, Tai Chi and group fitness instructor, also working with special populations who experience chronic health conditions. Through a combination of these practices, everyone can find a way to move and enjoy being physically active.
