I always start a lesson with a new student with the understanding that not all players learn the same way. For my visual learners I employ V1 Golf Video analysis which we can also send to the student so they can review it between lessons. For my kinesthetic learners we use a variety of training aids to help them feel the differences with actual body motions. For students that are audio learners we will have more of a conversation and explanation discussion that will also include a bit of quizzing to help them remember our processes. While lowering scores and hitting your clubs farther are important, I also like to asses the student’s goals and aspirations that will help guide them to be a better player and create a more fun and enjoyable atmosphere with their game.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Coach Bryan Hughes is a product of Philadelphia’s parks and recreational programs. His 30+ years of teaching include 6 NJCAA National Titles coaching with Tyler Junior College, including 6 individual Rolex National Champions. He has directed community and country club programs in Florida and Texas and started Jedi Tennis LLC, here in Philadelphia, in 2008, as well as The South Philadelphia Tennis Association in 2010. Certified Premier Provider for the USTA as well as Middle States Committee Member, The SPTA was The USTA Middle States Section "Community Tennis Association of the Year." TJC Tennis Tech Graduate and Instructor, Also Coached USTA National Champions in Juniors, Adult Singles, Doubles and Team, Texas State High School Singles, Doubles, and Team Champions. Hello future students! I’ve been teaching the guitar to kids and adults for over 15 years, and I’m just as excited today as when I first started! My musical journey began at the age of 14 when I joined the music conservatory in Brasilia, Brazil. Later, I went to college for music education and moved to the US to study Jazz Performance at the University of Louisville. Having studied classical, jazz, Brazilian, pop, rock, country, and blues guitar over the years, I'm confident in teaching most styles.
