Driven by a lifelong love for the game, I bring 12 years of tennis expertise to every lesson. My experience as a licensed physical therapist shapes my coaching, tailoring instruction to include injury prevention for all skill levels as well as rehabilitative exercises for appropriate clientele. I aim to foster skill development, mental and physical strength, and a genuine enjoyment of the sport.

As a performer for over 10 years, I have learned to articulate styles and techniques I have learned throughout various genres. My main skills come from my training as a classical singer, doing styles like opera, art songs, oratorios, spirituals, and French love songs. I have done many major roles such as: Soloist in “Haydn’s The Creation”, Soloist in “Handel’s Messiah”, Soloist in “Carmina Burana”, and many different operatic roles. Another side of music I have experience in is Musical Theatre. I have played roles such as Shrek in “Shrek the Musical”, Adam in “7 Brides for 7 Brothers”, The Beast in “Beauty and the Beast” and many more. I would really love the opportunity to work with anyone interested in getting ready for college music programs, or performances of any style!

Coaching my son and his team reminded me how much I love this game. Now, I’m driven to share that passion with more young athletes — helping them grow their skills, mindset, and love for football.

I played at a competitive level with FC Alliance’s ECNL Black team and continued my career at Johnson University, where I developed a deeper understanding of the game and leadership on and off the field. My coaching style is all about encouragement, energy, and building confidence. Whether you’re new to the sport or looking to take your skills to the next level, I tailor each session to meet your individual goals. I focus on technical development—like footwork, dribbling, shooting, and positioning—while also helping players grow in their game IQ and self-belief. With a career spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America, he has made over 200 appearances at the highest level. His vast experience across diverse soccer cultures has shaped his game and leadership skills. Now, alongside playing, he focuses on mentoring and advising professional players, leveraging his expertise to create strategic pathways for success in professional soccer. Machell’s dedication and knowledge make him a valuable asset both on and off the field.
