Hi, I'm Anik, a varsity tennis player at Heritage High School with a strong passion for coaching. I've had the privilege of working with Acing Autism, where I've developed skills in patience and adaptive coaching while supporting children with autism and developmental disorders. My experience extends to coaching with three different groups and offering private sessions tailored to individual needs. I also specialize in doubles strategy analysis, helping players refine their teamwork and tactics. Whether you're just starting out or aiming to elevate your performance, I'm dedicated to guiding you with expertise and a love for the game.

I grew up playing golf, which laid the foundation for my athletic career, but my true passion is now in pickleball, where I compete as a professional athlete. With experience coaching both kids and adults, I bring a unique perspective from both sports to help players develop their skills, strategies, and overall game. I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm, making every coaching session fun and engaging for all ages!

I’ve been playing tennis for over 26 years, training for 13 years at the prestigious Brookhaven Country Club, which has produced several top professionals. As a top junior in Texas, I won the NCAA championship with Emory University in 2012 and currently play at a 5.0 USTA level, recently improving to 5.5. With 14 years of coaching experience, I’ve trained athletes of all levels, including a current WTA player who reached the 3rd round of the 2024 US Open. I hold a neuroscience degree and a post-graduate degree in Data Science, allowing me to combine scientific methodologies with my extensive experience to enhance every aspect of my students' games. I specialized in heavy music for a long time but I am fluent in all genres of music as well,including folk,jazz, classical,rock, blues,funk,punk rock,new wave,pop,ska,hardcore,swing,avant garde,progressive,technical, contemporary,ambient,hip hop and experimental. I enjoy teaching everything from scales,chords, rhythm,melody,phrasing, transition,picking,finger placement,fretboard memory,fast runs,chord groups,major,minor, pentatonic,mixolydian,aeolian,diminished,phrygian,locrian,Dorian,and many more. I also like to focus on figuring out composition by ear,for example learning your favorite artists songs and development of your own styles while drawing from your influence or whatever you are wanting to play. Whether you are a beginner or advanced I will work at your pace. I can give you the tools to becoming a better musician and playing to your full potential.

I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. (Don't make a joke about your degree being a "BM") If you're still here, I'm also a guitarist and have taught strings and brass. I've taught privately and classroom settings both in-person and remotely. I bring my experiences as a performing artist and educator to guide students of all ages and levels. My lessons are individualized and intended to guide you on your musical journey. Lessons can vary depending on your needs, wants and goals.
