I'm dedicated to fostering a fun and supportive learning environment where students of all levels can thrive. I have performed live in many bands all over the world since I was 21 years old. I have had the honor of being signed to Relapse Records and Wiilowtip records as well as many other labels in the extreme metal community. I specialized in heavy music for a long time but I am fluent in all genres of music as well,including folk,jazz, classical,rock, blues,funk,punk rock,new wave,pop,ska,hardcore,swing,avant garde,progressive,technical, contemporary,ambient,hip hop and experimental. I enjoy teaching everything from scales,chords, rhythm,melody,phrasing, transition,picking,finger placement,fretboard memory,fast runs,chord groups,major,minor, pentatonic,mixolydian,aeolian,diminished,phrygian,locrian,Dorian,and many more. I also like to focus on figuring out composition by ear,for example learning your favorite artists songs and development of your own styles while drawing from your influence or whatever you are wanting to play. Whether you are a beginner or advanced I will work at your pace. I can give you the tools to becoming a better musician and playing to your full potential.

I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. (Don't make a joke about your degree being a "BM") If you're still here, I'm also a guitarist and have taught strings and brass. My experience includes coaching recreational leagues, select baseball, and Major League Baseballs RBI program. My coaching blends technical expertise in a student teacher environment. Todays era of youth baseball focuses on games and game situations, not the technical aspects and mechanics of how the game should be played. If you do not produce immediately, or show that you may not know what to do in a certain situation you could be subjected to ridicule and potentially a lack of playing time. I think that is wrong. Every single situation is a chance to learn through constant communication and practice, but since your kids game to practice schedule is 7-10:1 until they reach high school there is no time to learn the game unless you come to someone like me. I have been coaching tennis for 20 years and I am also a successful senior pro tour member in Pickleball. Coach Mulanax coached at Stephenville, Eldorado and Bridgeport before beginning her coaching career in Frisco with the opening of Centennial High School in 2003. She also coached at Wakeland High School before being named Head Tennis Coach when Lone Star High School opened in 2010. While at Lone Star, Coach Mulanax’s teams and individuals have experienced success at the district, regional, and state levels.
