Over 40 years of playing experience and over 20 years teaching experience! I have played tennis since I was 6 years old and I first learned how to play tennis from my parents at an early age. I then began taking lessons from tennis instructors who had many years of playing experience. They brought a wealth of knowledge to me as a junior, which in turn helped me learn and excel as a junior player. I was one of the top 10 junior players in Texas and also competed in all national tennis tournaments around the country. It was an incredible experience and I very much hope to be able to pass on some of what I’ve learned to some of my tennis students in the San Antonio area!

As a 4.5 rated Pickleball player with more than a year under my belt, I've built upon my history as a former 5.0 tennis player. I decided to switch to PB for a change of pace and soon made my mark by winning multiple tournaments at the 3.5 level. "I’d say Henry’s lesson was quite focused and helpful, especially with opportunities for improvement in mind. The emphasis on form and problem areas was pretty clear, and I feel more confident about sharpening those skills. Though I still need to work on a few specifics, it’s encouraging to see steady progress. Still, I might try a couple more lessons to really hone in on those details.

As a youth and young adult I spent my summers at Newcombe as a camp counselor-pro. Then after HS I joined the UTSA mens singles team. "I just started with him but already have 4 girl friends that all want lessons from him. I don't think you can be as in shape as he is without practicing what he preaches. He is always smiling and such a joy. I would pay him to teach me how to kick a wall lol

I’ve played volleyball since middle school and i’ve been through many different coaches and techniques and i’ve always learned what’s best for me and had a coach that helped me through a lot. I want to be that for someone who is just starting their journey. I’ve loved volleyball since 6th grade and I didn’t start very good, but I had persistence and I accomplished many goals and I did get very good at volleyball. It did take a lot of determination, but what I know is most important is not just the training , but the mentality. If I was allowed to be a coach, I would teach my players that as their coach not only am I here to grow as a player but as a person. If I were to coach a young group. I would start by teaching them building your skills it’s important, but so is messing up, messing up is what makes us who we are and teaches us to not beat ourselves up over a mistake in a sport we feel passionate about. I’ve learned many techniques. I was an outside hitter, but I also did play as a DS therefore, I know to teach diving the correct way, 3-step approaches, 4-step approaches, the correct way to swing at a ball, timing, reading a hitter, etc. I do think it’s important to incorporate it into gameplay after learning, if you didn’t I feel it’s harder to learn without.
