Fun fact: I played against Michael Vick in high school! My team, I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, VA, defeated his team, Warwick High School — what a game! I also faced off against DeAngelo Hall from Deep Creek. Both went on to star in college and the NFL. The stories I could tell! I'm a football fanatic, but my passion doesn’t stop there. I’ve coached countless younger family members in all kinds of sports — because with passion, anything can be learned. I teach football, basketball, softball, track and field, and even competitive frisbee (a neighborhood favorite!). I coach with three key ingredients: love, enthusiasm, and discipline — a proven recipe for greatness. I’m incredibly proud of my roots in the 757. Our region produces some of the best talent in the country, and I’m committed to developing the next generation of sports legends. I trained at Point Guard College in Harrisonburg, Virginia for two consecutive years, sharpening elite ball handling, court vision, decision making, leadership, and high IQ game play. I am a graduate of Randolph College with a BA in History and a minor in Communications, bringing both competitive experience and strong leadership communication into every coaching session. My coaching is built for athletes who want to earn starting roles, compete for conference championships, and perform at an MVP level. I train game-ready fundamentals that translate to real results including scoring efficiency, defensive dominance, playmaking confidence, and mental toughness. Michael Malinowski is a freelance drummer and percussionist who has performed with artists such as Blue Man Group and Sheila E. Growing up in Los Angeles, he had the privilege of performing at some of the biggest venues in LA, including the Hollywood Bowl, Ford amphitheater, and Microsoft Theater. Michael graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, at California State University, Long Beach, with a degree in Percussion Performance. Teaching Philosophy: “I create a fun and friendly environment for teaching music lessons. The lessons are completely tailored to YOU, the student. We create goals based on exactly what you want to learn - whether you want to read music, prepare for an audition, or start a band and have fun! With 13 years teaching experience, I have proven results of students progressing in their musical careers and having a great time along the way.”
