I’m a Division 1 basketball player with experience competing at the highest collegiate level, and I currently train athletes in Los Angeles. At 6’10, I bring a unique perspective to the game and specialize in skill development, footwork, and improving overall basketball IQ. I’ve trained and competed against high-level players, so I understand what it takes to reach the next level. My goal is to help athletes build strong fundamentals, gain confidence, and apply their skills in real game situations. I’m a lifelong student of the game, raised in a family of coaches, and I’ve spent years in the gym studying how players actually improve. I care about the details—footwork, decision-making, and building skills that show up in real games. Every session is focused on helping players grow their confidence, understand the game, and become more effective when it matters. I built my own game around efficiency—shooting over 60% from three with a 3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio—and that same approach is what I now use to help players improve and reach their potential. Above all, my goal is to help players develop a genuine love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

I have been playing basketball since the age of 10. My brother was on the high school team and I have trained with him growing up almost everyday. I played on my college intramural team and have taken lessons from professionals that played in college. I regularly play in basketball leagues that even have players over 6’8” tall. I am well versed in young children as I have taught young students English from three years up. (I have my own kids these ages) I am bilingual Mandarin and can explain concepts well in both languages. I am patient, kind, and enjoy seeing others achieve their goals. I look forward to teaching any students be well rounded individuals not just in sports, but in life.

Eric Acosta is a lifelong learner with a passion for teaching. As a coach with Elevo Learning, he's worked with K–6th graders, led PE classes, and coached basketball at Hillside Middle School in Simi Valley. He recently took that Hillside team to the final round of the Simi Valley Tournament. He works with all ages and specializes in building real foundational confidence.
