My name is Bryant Disla, and I am the Founder and Head Coach of Youth Hoops 305. I’ve been an “everyday hooper” my entire life—playing the game at multiple levels, including during my service in the U.S. Army and overseas in Germany. Basketball has always been more than a sport to me; it’s been a source of discipline, purpose, and opportunity. Today, I’m committed to using that passion to shape the next generation of athletes. Before starting Youth Hoops 305, I became a licensed coach with USA Basketball and began donating my time to local children and nonprofit organizations such as One More Child. Giving back to under-resourced youth is at the core of my mission and continues to drive the work I do every day. I created Youth Hoops 305 with one goal: to show kids what basketball can do for them. I strive to build a culture that is physically demanding, mentally tough, and rooted in the love of the game. My goal is to provide a training experience unlike any other—one that focuses on real skill development, strong fundamentals, and personal growth both on and off the court. I believe in the transformative power of sports. Basketball can build confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, leadership, and resilience—qualities that go far beyond the hardwood. With my deep understanding of the game and my commitment to developing young athletes, I aim to help every player tap into their maximum potential. Hi, I’m Coach Derrick Byars, former 16-year pro basketball player with experience in the NBA (Heat, Spurs, Bulls, 76ers, Thunder, Grizzlies) and overseas. For the past 7 years, I’ve been transforming athletes of all ages, helping them turn training into real game results. I’m the Head Coach of a skills academy and Program Director of the Miami Legendz travel team. My specialties are shooting, ball-handling, and building on-court confidence. I offer three training options: VIP 1:1 sessions (limited spots), small group training, and large group skills academy, each with different price points.
