I have been playing basketball ever since I can remember. My family has always been very athletic. My siblings played basketball as well as my parents. My grandma told me a story about how I used to shoot a little basketball into a 10 foot hoop and I would make it. I play in the point guard position. I work very hard at what I do so that makes me advance in my skill for the sport. When I really started to realize I had a passion for it was in 6th grade. We had a lot of new people therefore our team didn't blend great. But even with my team being the way it was I still put everything that I had into it. Two things at the end of the season happened to me that made me realized that if I worked at it I could do great things. With over a decade of experience, I have a deep passion for helping athletes reach their full potential. I am a former collegiate basketball player and two-year captain at Taylor University, where I scored over 1,000 career points. I earned both my bachelor’s in Sport Management and my Master of Arts in Leadership while also leading Bible studies, team events, and five years of Taylor's annual youth basketball camps. I am currently the 7th grade girls’ basketball assistant coach at Westfield Middle School and have such a passion for pouring into young athletes. With coaching influences from WNBA pros and respected high school mentors, I combine high-level playing experience with a passion for developing young athletes in both skill and confidence. I am a proud Westfield native and am committed to giving back to my community through personal, intentional coaching. I am rooted in my Christian faith and lead with love, integrity, and a desire to honor God through every opportunity I am given.

Though I’d appreciate some more specific drills tailored to my game, I think I’m heading in the right direction. Still, I might need to keep practicing to refine my shot and handle better. I’d probably suggest working on that next time, but I’m glad I tried her lesson.

Basketball is what I dedicated myself to as a kid. Through the years I have had many trainers and professionals guide me to a level that I am proud of today. I spent 4 years at University of Indianapolis playing for the Grey Hounds. I was the 15th player in their history to score 1000 points and grab 500 rebounds, I also hold the all time and single season record for blocks. After being at a basketball exposure tour for 2 days in Portugal, I was immediately flown to Oldenburg Germany to begin my brief but educational professional basketball career. Over the years I’ve learned what is most valued at each level and how to show other coaches you have what they need. My love for sport is what drives me most, and I strive to instill that love in the players I train.

Former Purdue Men's Basketball Player and Coach from 2019-2024. Also coached one season at University of Illinois Chicago as the Director of Men's Basketball Operations. Trained Purdue Players Zach Edey, Braden Smith, and Fletcher Loyer among others.

With 38 years of basketball instruction under my belt, I foster player growth and the love of hoops! My foundation in basketball development began on the court, not in an office. I launched Get There Training, a basketball academy in Albuquerque, NM, where I personally trained youth, collegiate, and professional athletes, helping them reach their peak performance. I was privileged to serve on the staff for the LeBron James Skills Academy for three consecutive years, collaborating with high-performance trainers like Ganon Baker, and contributing to one of the most prestigious player development platforms in the country. Was also a basketball coach at NM State University for 3 years.

As a former club player in Porto Alegre, Brazil with Sogipa, a college player at Cedarville University in the US, an assistant coach in Clark Summit, PA at Baptist Bible College, a club coach in Santa Cruz, Brazil at Unico, and recreational coach for various children’s sports in the US, I bring you realistic, honest, practical experience and life lessons. I have achievements such as State and National Championship titles and short falls that taught me to work harder and train more effectively.
